Attorney James Castranova has been practicing law for over twenty years since graduating from the University of San Diego School of Law in 2002. He began focusing on family law in 2011 while employed by Moreno & Associates, a small law firm in Chula Vista, California.

James began to fine-tune his family law skills when he accepted a position with the Men’s Legal Center in San Diego in 2014 and specialized in defending Domestic Violence Restraining Orders.

He has extensive experience handling every type of family law matter including dissolutions of marriage, child custody/support disputes, move-away requests, and juvenile/dependency matters.

James understands how stressful and emotional family law disputes can be, which is why he prioritizes settling your case as quickly and amicably as possible rather than increasing your legal costs by exacerbating conflict and prolonging judgment.

But if your case, for whatever reason, cannot be settled quickly, no one will fight harder for you and your children.

After living in North Carolina since 2020, James moved back to California with his wife and two young children in 2023 to join Carroll Law Office and return to family law to focus on helping good people through the most difficult times in their lives.
