Danielle Petersen

Bio

Danielle Petersen has practiced family law exclusively since being admitted to the California State Bar in 2019. Danielle is a results-driven attorney with a history of achieving successful outcomes for her clients in an array of family law issues including child support, spousal support, child custody, attorney’s fees, property division, domestic violence, guardianship actions, grandparent rights and more.

Danielle is known for her skill in helping clients find non-litigation solutions to their family law issues, but if efforts towards amicable resolution are unsuccessful, she does not shy away from a courtroom to advocate for her clients.

Danielle was honored as a Northern California Super Lawyer Rising Star in 2024 and 2025. This list identifies attorneys aged 40 and younger with a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievements. Less than 2.5% of Northern California attorneys receive this honor.

In addition to practicing family law, Danielle is also active in several local Bar Associations, and regularly volunteers her time through Bar Association programs to assist self-represented litigants with their family law legal questions. Outside of work, Danielle enjoys spending time with her dogs, Jax and Boston, and exploring all that Sonoma County has to offer.
